Ramp expectations

  • What does a realistic ramp to full productivity look like in months?
  • What % of new hires hit ramp targets in the last 12 months?

Compensation reality

  • What is comp, and what did last year's median performer in this role actually earn?
  • Are there clawbacks, draws, accelerators, or vesting details I should understand?

Promotion path

  • What are the criteria and typical timeline to the next level?
  • How many people were promoted from this role in the last year?

Manager support

  • How often will we have 1:1s and what does coaching look like?
  • How does my manager measure their own success with the team?

Performance bar

  • What does hitting the bar look like, and what % of the team hit it last year?
  • How is performance measured and how often?

Training

  • What does onboarding look like week by week for the first 90 days?
  • What ongoing enablement or training is provided?

Team culture

  • How would current teammates describe the culture in one sentence?
  • What has attrition looked like on this team in the past 12 months?

Why the role is open

  • Is this a backfill or new headcount, and what happened to the last person?

First 90 days

  • What does success in the first 30, 60, and 90 days look like specifically?
